Soy Local CDMX

Stayed one night at this place in September 2024. Price was really great compared to other places in the sama area. On my check-in at 7pm (a Saturday), very loud music could be heard from the bar downstairs and apparently this goes on until 2am, but luckily, when I requested a higher up room (4th floor is the max), I got a new (probably even better) room. Friendly staff. The (new) room was maybe a bit dated but spacious an clean, with a big bathroom and a little balcony with a city view. The bed was comfy, I slept really well. The location is quite good, near several cafés and restaurants. The common room downstairs has free coffee and water.

I absolutely love this hotel. I’ve have stayed in other hotels in different parts of the city but this is definitely the best. Excellent location in beautiful tree lined streets with lovely cafes and shops. It’s great value for money too and the rooms are big too. It has a lovely traditional Mexican style and vibe and live music in the evenings. The breakfast was good with various choices and there is a great little bar next door that serves delicious food and great cocktails. I will definitely book Soy Local again if I return to Mexico City.

Traditional non-chain hotel with Mexican paintings and tiles, in a really hip area of Mexico City, with a lot of coffee shops and restaurants. Clean and safe.

I was lucky to have a very large room with two queen size beds. Room was clean and spacious though rather basic. It’s obviously an old hotel which I believe has been acquired by a larger chain as it has several names. The room had no telephone, exceptionally hard beds and pillows, no hotel information guide and very poor wifi. On the plus side my room on the 4th floor was very quiet so I managed to get some good rest albeit on a very hard flat bed 🛌

The hotel is beautiful! The room was simple but clean and done so tastefully, with beautiful hand painted walls and mosaics and a huge window overlooking the street that's lined with tall trees. There are so many little restaurants and cafes within walking distance and the food is excellent.
